I am hoping to gather some fellow Nannies to travel with and share expenses. This is a great addition to your resume and will encourage you more than you can imagine. Most nannies live a pretty isolated work-life. This conference will provide the appreciation, validation, and education. Not only will it be fun, but you will meet people that will change your perspective on your job!
For members of NANC the early bird cost is $100 (includes a $15 new member fee to receive this discount price). Early bird deadline is July 10th! After the cost goes up to $165. So I will be registering soon, to guarantee the cheaper price. The site also has a letter that you can give to your employer if you would like to ask them to pay. Other expenses will include flight, hotel, and food. I just did a flight search and found a roundtrip, nonstop for $140 total cost! The good thing is that the conference falls on a Sat/Sun, so you may not even have to take off work!
