Start date:
Flexible, anytime between now and January.
Schedule:
3 days per week, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 21 hours/week. The family is open to whichever three days work best for the nanny.
Pay Range:
$28.00 – $32.00/hour, dependent on experience, education, and expertise. Overtime at time and a half goes into effect after 40 hours/week. At 21 hours/week, the expected gross pay is $588–$672/week, or $30,576–$34,944 annually. Taxes will be withheld.
Benefits:
Family will offer 6 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 6 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). In addition, when the family travels, the nanny will have an additional 3 – 6 weeks off per year, with guaranteed pay. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 21 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early.
Children:
The family has two children: a 17-month-old son and a 7-week-old daughter. B1 is a very happy, energetic little guy who rarely stops moving! He is a good eater and sleeper and is smart, observant, curious, and very social. He loves books, music, activities, being outside, and especially enjoys spending time with his cousins and other children. He is babbling often and is eager to communicate and engage with the people around him. He attends a two-day toddler program on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. On other days, his routine includes active play and time outside when possible, with a park conveniently located across the street from the home. He typically has lunch at home, naps from approximately 12:30–3:00/3:30 p.m., and then enjoys more playtime before dinner, roughhousing with Dad, bath, books, and bedtime. Gywks is an easygoing, happy baby who is beginning to wake up and become more engaged with the world around her. She is eating well and is bottle-fed, with some mild reflux that the family is currently working through. She is beginning to communicate her needs with her little squeaks and expressions and is already very loved by her big brother! Her routine generally follows a sleep-eat-play rhythm, with bottles approximately every three hours. She enjoys tummy time and interaction and is sleeping in her crib. The family is focused on supporting her development, watching for milestones, and adapting her routine to her changing needs as she grows.
Family values:
Family is at the heart of this household. The parents are very close with their extended families, including siblings and cousins, and value the support and connection that comes from being part of a close-knit family. They want their children to grow up kind, respectful, happy, curious, and confident, with a love for school, learning, and imagination. They prioritize time outdoors, trips to the park, family dinners, and meaningful interaction with one another while limiting screen time as much as possible. They enjoy traveling and spending time together as a family, including going out to dinner and creating lots of connection around the dinner table. With B1 being so little, guidance at this stage mostly looks like redirection, and the parents appreciate a nanny who can work collaboratively and flexibly with their parenting style. Above all, they genuinely enjoy their children and love watching their personalities emerge, sharing lots of laughter, and experiencing the fun of parenting together. Note: family will be moving to Indian Hill the end of 2027.
Duties include:
Basic care and clean-up after the children, children’s meal prep, children’s laundry, and transportation to/from school and activities. Occasional pet care may also be requested.
Pets:
The family has one dog, a Blue Heeler. He typically goes to work with Dad each day, so he is not regularly home during the nanny’s working hours.
Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional, long-term part-time nanny who is safe, fun, engaging, trustworthy, and proactive. They value someone with strong infant and toddler experience who takes initiative with age-appropriate activities, is attentive to developmental milestones, routines, and individual needs, and creates a safe and emotionally supportive environment. The family is looking for someone who is organized, dependable, communicates openly, and enjoys being an active, collaborative part of the family team. A one-year commitment is required, with the potential for the position to continue for 5+ years.
