Benefits:
Family will offer 6 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 6 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) as they fall on a nanny’s work day. In addition, when the family travels, the nanny will have an additional 1-2 weeks per year off and paid. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 31.5 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early.

Children:
The family has three children, a 4-year-old daughter and two sons, ages 2 years and 11 months. G4 is a typical firstborn, kind, curious, social and caring toward her younger brothers. She loves unicorns, princesses, music, dancing, being the entertainer, and reading together. G4 is in PreK, drop-off is by 8:10 a.m. and pickup at 11:30 a.m. Afternoons include quiet time (sometimes a nap, sometimes listening to stories or crafting/coloring). B2 is very much a “boy’s boy,” with more shy energy. He loves riding his balance bike, scootering, and anything with trucks or cars. He starts preschool this year 3 days/week (Mon, Weds, Thurs), 8:30 drop-off and 12:00 p.m. pickup. He is not yet potty trained. Both older kids get lunch at school. B11mos is easygoing, happy, a good sleeper, and loves to eat. He’s exploring and drawn to his older siblings’ toys, and is currently crawling and starting to pull up. His day starts around 7:00–7:30 a.m. with a bottle; he tags along on the morning drop-off route, naps 9–11 a.m. then goes along on the school pickup, has lunch and a naps from 1–3:30 p.m.

Family values:
This family’s foundation is kindness, they seek to instill independence and self-sufficiency, happiness and fun, and taking education seriously. They enjoy family outings to the zoo, the pool, even Costco, playing together at home (magnatiles, legos) and after-dinner dance parties. They’re active in the cul-de-sac, biking and scootering with neighbor kids, and enjoy taking family walks and grabbing coffee. For discipline, they use age-appropriate timeouts, escalating after three strikes if needed, along with positive-reinforcement charts and a star/bedtime-books system as a motivator. They’re also working to instill table manners. Mom works 4 days/week (Mon–Thurs) with flexibility to work from home, going into the office 1-2 days a week. When home, she tries to be away during the day but stays present – popping in without being disruptive. Dad works outside of the home. They would say the best part of parenting is watching their kids develop their own personalities and perspectives, seeing what the knowledge they bring home from their experiences in the world, and how they grow and interact with each other as siblings.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean-up after the children; meal/snack prep; children’s laundry and bedding; keeping the house picked up and orderly (wiping counters/tables, vacuuming once a week, putting things away); loading/unloading the dishwasher; and transportation to/from school and activities.

Pets:
The family has a 10-year-old Goldendoodle; he is a gentle giant. Pet care is limited to keeping his water bowl full and letting him out in the fenced backyard.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional part-time, long-term nanny who is dependable, safe, proactive, nurturing, and engaging, with a warm and positive presence. The right person will be someone who takes initiative, communicates openly, and becomes a consistent, trusted part of the family team. The family requires a 1-year commitment, but could see the role being needed for the next 5+ years.
