Requirements:

Start date:
Mon., Oct 5th 

Schedule:
40 hours/week, Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Fri 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  

Pay Range:
$25–$30/hour dependent on experience, education, and expertise. Overtime rate of time and a half goes into effect after 40 hours/week. At 40 hours/week, the expected gross amount is $1,000–$1,200/week, or $52,000–$62,400 annually. Taxes will be withheld.

Benefits:
Family will offer 8 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 9 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day). In addition, when the family travels, the nanny will receive an additional 2–3 weeks of paid time off per year (this includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s) The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early. Healthcare stipend is negotiable.

Children:
The family has one daughter who is 3 months old. She is a happy, smiley, and interactive baby who loves engaging, listening to music, playing on the floor in her activity gym, and practicing tummy time. She enjoys reaching for toys and rattles, looking at bright colors, and engaging with faces. She likes to dance and clap her hands, laugh, and is beginning to share those sweet little giggles. She sleeps through the night with an occasional quick wake-up and is a good napper. She follows age-appropriate wake windows of approximately 1–1.5 hours and generally follows an eat, play, sleep routine, with about four naps between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. She is breastfed and also takes pumped breast milk from a bottle.

The family hopes to raise a kind, confident, independent young woman who respects others, embraces new experiences, and is equipped with the tools and confidence to navigate life’s challenges. Their Christian faith is an important part of their family values. Family time is very important to them, and they enjoy spending time together and with extended family. They are active, spend time outdoors, including walks, and enjoy watching baseball and other sports. They are also foodies who enjoy cooking and dining out and hope to share that love of food and experiences with their daughter. Both parents value communication, transparency, flexibility, and follow-through. Mom works a hybrid schedule, working from home on most Mondays and Fridays and in the office the other days. When working from home, she may often be on calls and unavailable. Dad works from his home office. They are easygoing and communicative and appreciate a nanny who keeps them in the loop, follows through on commitments, and can confidently take the lead throughout the day. The family keeps a tidy home and appreciates someone who leaves spaces as they found them or better. The playroom is located upstairs, providing a dedicated space for play and activities. The parents feel one of the most rewarding parts of parenting is watching their daughter develop and grow into her own person. From her first smile to practicing rolling, discovering her personality, and beginning to “talk,” they treasure each milestone.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. Transportation to activities. Nanny will be asked to keep baby log to support communication with parents. 

Pets:
The family has one long-haired Dachshund who is a big part of their day-to-day life. He is sweet with the baby and prefers to be in the same room with the family. Dad will primarily manage his care, including letting him out into the fenced backyard. A nanny who is comfortable around and enjoys dogs is preferred.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional, long-term nanny who is engaging, trustworthy, and acts as a true partner in caring for their daughter. They are looking for someone who is developmentally engaged, active, and hands-on; enjoys interactive play and creating age-appropriate activities and outings. Open communication is important to the family. They require a minimum 1 year commitment but hope to find someone who can grow with their family for the 5 years or so, with the possibility of another child in the future.
