Start date:
Mid August

Schedule:
40 hours/week. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Pay Range:
$25.00–$30.00/hour, depending on experience, education, and expertise. Overtime is paid at time and a half for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. The expected gross pay is $1,000–$1,200 per week, or approximately $52,000–$62,400 annually. Taxes will be withheld.

Benefits:
Family will offer 12 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 6 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). In addition, when the family travels, the nanny will have an additional 2-3 weeks per year off and paid. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early. Healthcare stipend is negotiable.

Children:
The family has 3 children – a 6 year old son, 3 year old daughter and 4.5 month old son. B6 is a reserved, thoughtful, cautious, and kind child who thrives with consistency and clear expectations. He is a rule follower who listens well and follows instructions. Although he may be a little shy at first, he is sweet-natured and enjoys spending time outdoors. He likes riding his bike and playing soccer and baseball. He will be entering 1st grade in August and enjoys school. A parent will drop him off at school each morning at 7:10 a.m., and the nanny will pick him up at 2:20 p.m. He will play soccer in the fall, with his dad serving as his coach. G3 is a silly, chatty, sweet, and funny little girl with a big imagination. She experiences her emotions deeply, whether she’s excited or upset, and benefits from a calm, reassuring approach. She warms up to new people fairly quickly and is a good listener. She loves singing, making up songs, playing with animals, and especially enjoys joining in whatever her big brother is doing. She is fully potty trained and may attend preschool part-time (approximately three mornings per week) to encourage socialization. She takes a daily nap from 1:00–3:00 p.m. B4mos is a happy-go-lucky baby. He adores watching his big brother and sister and is content observing them throughout the day. He enjoys tummy time on his play mat, kicking his legs, holding soft toys, listening to music, and being talked to and engaged with. He is both breastfed and bottle-fed. He loves contact naps, but the family is actively working toward crib naps and establishing a consistent routine with two naps per day. He does not use a pacifier. The family has found that all three children thrive with a predictable routine and consistent schedule. Every other week, the children’s grandparents take the two older children for one day, allowing for dedicated one-on-one time with the baby.

Family values:
This family values raising kind, confident, and independent children. They encourage active play, creativity, free play, art, and plenty of time outdoors, believing children learn best through exploration rather than constant direction. Their goal is to give their children the tools to make good decisions, solve problems independently, and become healthy, well-mannered individuals who are also confident enough to stand up for themselves. Family time is important. They enjoy visiting coffee shops and parks, hiking, playing in the backyard, walking the neighborhood, and balancing outdoor adventures with relaxing time at home. The children are included in everyday life by helping clean, running errands, and even joining their parents during home workouts. Friday night is family movie night. The parents encourage the children to work through disagreements with siblings on their own when appropriate. If conflicts become physical, they are separated first, then helped talk through the situation once everyone is calm. Clear expectations and consistent follow-through are important. The oldest occasionally takes a short break in his room to regulate before rejoining the family. Both parents have busy careers and appreciate proactive communication. Mom especially enjoys updates, photos, and texts throughout the day and is never bothered by check-ins. Dad also welcomes communication and questions. Mom occasionally works from home on Fridays but remains in her office. Dad works outside the home. The parents love watching each child grow into their own unique person and discovering their individual interests and personalities. They treasure each stage of childhood while embracing the opportunity to learn, grow, and work through life’s challenges together as a family.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc., Transportation. The family encourages getting out for activities, walks, and play. Pet care would generally be limited to letting the dogs outside as needed. 

Pets:
The family has two friendly dogs and two cats. The Aussie is well-trained, loves people, and enjoys attention, while their older Border Collie mix is laid-back and spends much of the day sleeping. The home has a fenced yard, so the dogs can simply be let outside as needed and otherwise take care of themselves. No additional pet care is required or any for the cats. If a nanny enjoys walking dogs, occasional dog walks would be welcomed but are completely optional. 

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional, long-term nanny who is experienced with infants and is warm, patient, compassionate, trustworthy, and reliable. They hope to find someone who is active, engaging, and creative, communicates openly with the parents, and desires to become a true extension of their family.
