Children:
This family has three children—two daughters, ages 7 and 5, and a 2-year-old son. G7 is sensitive, aware, sweet, talkative, smart, and very helpful, with a kind, thoughtful nature and a strong desire to please others. She is well-rounded and enjoys activities such as soccer, dance, cheer, swimming, and basketball, while also appreciating downtime watching her favorite shows. G5 is a fun-loving goofball with lots of energy who feels things deeply and naturally serves as the bridge between her siblings. She is very active, with interests in artwork, soccer, basketball, building Legos and loves playing with her superheroes. B2 is easygoing, active, affectionate, and happy to go along with whatever his sisters are doing. He has a sweet, go-with-the-flow personality and enjoys dinosaurs, cars, balls, trips to the zoo, and anything involving water. He is a great sleeper and typically naps in the early afternoon, though the family is flexible if the nanny would like to take the children out for lunch or activities.

Routine:
All three children wake up around 7:30 a.m. G7 walks to school in the mornings. G5 attends preschool from 8:45–11:45 a.m., with transportation handled by either nanny or Mom. B2 is home during the morning and will begin a half-day program 3 days/week in the fall. Late mornings include preschool pick-up followed by lunch and playtime. B2 naps for approximately 2–3 hours between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., while G5 has quiet time. After school, G7 may have activities and is picked up either at 3:35 or 4:35 p.m., depending on the day.

Family values:
This family values creating a welcoming, engaging, and nurturing environment. They prioritize community, maintaining close relationships with neighbors and friends, supporting their children’s school through PTO and coaching, and modeling good citizenship. Kindness is central, and while they encourage their children to succeed and do well, they emphasize becoming genuinely good people. The parents strive to expose their children to a variety of experiences so they can explore their interests and express their likes and dislikes. They are approachable, honest, and build trust to foster meaningful conversations with their kids. The family enjoys spending time together through movie nights, dinners with neighbors, travel both domestic and international, family walks, trips to Ault Park, scooter outings, and generally staying active. They are social, enjoy reading together, and maintain firm but kind boundaries—expecting their children to behave while understanding that they are still kids. Dad works outside of the home and Mom has a flexible work schedule, and may be in and out throughout the day. They are embracing the joys of parenting: watching their children have fun, grow, develop friendships, and excel in opportunities while evolving into the people they are becoming.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc., Transportation to/from school and fun activities. Help set up play dates and engaging activities. Household support (while the children are in school): organizing and rotating toys and clothes, easy meal prep.

Pets:
The family has a sweet 9-year-old mini Goldendoodle who is hypoallergenic. The family is a dog-loving household and is seeking a nanny who is comfortable with and enjoys being around dogs, including letting him out into the fenced-in backyard. Taking him for a 30 minute walk with the kids would be greatly appreciated.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional long-term nanny who is kind, engaging, and dependable. The ideal nanny will create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for the kids and their friends, and will be open to both at-home activities and outings, including playdates with other children and nannies. Adaptable to an active family with changing routines, the nanny should be proactive, responsible, and able to take initiative in anticipating needs and supporting the household. The family requires a 1 year commitment, but could see the role being needed for the 3+ years.
