The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early. Healthcare stipend is negotiable.
Children:
The family is expecting their first baby, due at the end of November. The gender is still a surprise—stay tuned! Mom plans to breastfeed and will pump as needed. They will begin with baby-led routines, gradually introducing structure as age-appropriate, including sleep training when the baby is ready. The family understands that every baby is unique and is flexible in adjusting routines to meet the child’s needs.
Family values:
This family cherishes kindness and compassion, fosters a curiosity for the world, and embraces the pursuit of becoming their best selves. The parents enjoy spending time together as a family—cooking, being outdoors, taking walks, visiting the zoo, traveling, and sharing meals—while also appreciating quiet evenings at home. Their home is walkable to the Lilypad, local park, and O’Bryonville. As they think ahead to guiding their child, the parents hope to raise a child who is resilient and confident. They value consistent guidance and helping them understand that challenges and occasional disappointments are part of growing and learning. Both parents are physicians; Mom’s schedule varies, starting as early as 7:00 a.m., with one day off each week, while Dad has a more fixed schedule. Dad may work from home one day a week, and has a separate office from the family space. The parents are most excited to watch their child grow into their own unique personality, discover the world, and share the things they love while nurturing their curiosity and passions.
Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Child’s bottle and meal prep. Child’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc., Transportation. The family encourages getting out for activities, walks, and play. Nanny will be asked to keep a simple written baby log (or app) to support communication with parents.
Pets:
The family does not have any pets.
