Pay Range:
$24.00 – 28.00/hour dependent on experience, education, and expertise. Overtime rate of time and a half goes into effect after 40 hours/week. The expected gross amount is $1,005 – 1172.50/week. This is between $13,065 – 15,242.50 in total. Taxes will be withheld.

Family will offer 2 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early.

Children:
The family has two children, a son who is 3 years old and a daughter who is 11 months old. B3 is happy, curious, and energetic. He goes to preschool 3 days per week for a few hours. He loves trucks, construction, reading, and playing outdoors. G11mos is happy, sweet, and easy-going. She enjoys open exploring and crawling everywhere. She is pulling herself up to stand and will likely be walking soon. She typically takes 2 naps per day. She likes to be held and cuddled to sleep. G11mos is fed breast milk and eats solids. The parents are doing a mix of baby-led weaning and purees (they let her hold the spoon, etc). Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will need to be prepared for the children.

Family values:
This family hopes to raise their children to be empathetic, think about and help others and feel secure and self-confident. They hope he will remain curious about and explore his world and simply be a good person. They enjoy taking family walks, grilling out and cooking together and spending time with family. Both parents are big sports fans; they like watching and going to games. Dad likes to golf and Mom enjoys tennis and volunteering. They are very community oriented. Mom mostly works out of the house, typically 9-5. She does have some flexibility on some days, but on other days it is extremely important that she is on time. Dad’s hours are early and can vary some, 4:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or later. The parents would say the best thing about parenting is getting to know this new little person and seeing him get to know them too. Every day they are just more aware and playful. The best is coming home and seeing their faces light up!

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after the children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Transportation to/from activities. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, dishes, etc. The family has a cleaning lady that comes every 2 weeks.

Pets:
The family has 1 dog, a Golden Doodle. She is loving and sweet but excitable when greeting you. She doesn’t really shed.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional temporary nanny who is nurturing, dependable and proactive. The ideal candidate would love their work with the infant/toddler age, understand child development & milestones and like to teach through engaging and age-appropriate activities. The ideal candidate also would like exploring and the outdoors. The nanny should be willing to share a Montessori approach (and to learn this if unfamiliar). The nanny also must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
