Children:
The family has three children: a 10-year-old son, a 9-year-old daughter, and a 7-year-old son. B10 is fun, funny, and full of personality. He has ADHD and some processing differences, so he thrives with creative, hands-on learning and patient support. Initially shy, he quickly becomes a chatterbox. He’s very active and enjoys reading, puzzles, building, dirt play, trains, dancing, and singing. He gets along well with neighborhood kids and benefits from engaging, movement-based activities. Occasional OT or tutoring may be part of his routine, and any playful, non-traditional learning support is a plus. He is home Mon + Fri, and goes to school Tu – Th. G9 is sharp, witty, kind, and full of personality. She’s creative, mature, and fun—loves soccer, gymnastics, roller skating, piano, painting, singing, and making videos. A girly girl and everyone’s friend, she’s especially close to her older brother and enjoys playing with cousins in the neighborhood. G9 loves baking, making messes, and having fun with the nanny. Housework takes a backseat to connection and creativity.  B7 is a creative, athletic, and sensitive child. A perfectionist at heart, he’s hard on himself and follows rules closely—often upset if he gets in trouble. He loves to build, make art, and play with everyone. Very active, he naturally picks up sports and enjoys teaching others—once even schooling his nanny on football. He has a unique bond with each sibling and encourages B10 to join in. He enjoys cleaning, cooking, and is learning independence by making lunches and helping younger kids. An early riser, he’s full of energy. G9 and B7 are on the same schedule. During the school year, the bus picks them up at 8:05 and drops them off at 4:00/4:15. Depending on the time of year, the kids may be sports in the evenings that they nanny will transport to.

Family values:
This family deeply values independence and is intentional about teaching life skills that help their children grow into confident, capable individuals. They prioritize family time and creating a home where their children feel loved, supported, and secure in knowing they have a strong foundation. Open communication is important—they believe in sharing both the good and the hard moments and fostering close relationships. Their values include kindness, respect, helping one another, and caring for the community. The parents are divorced and co-parenting like rockstars. The children live on a one-week-on, one-week-off schedule between two homes that are just 100 yards apart, with transitions happening on Fridays. The nanny will rotate to both homes with the kids, and have everything they need at both homes. Fridays are celebrated with dance parties, pizza, and movie nights. Weekends are filled with sports, playdates, and seasonal activities like swimming, plays, and attending sporting events. Reading books together at night is a cherished routine. When it comes to guidance, they strive to be present, engage in meaningful conversations with the kids, and encourage responsibility through small daily wins. Time-outs are less effective; instead, they use breaks followed by discussions. Mom works from home full-time and typically travels during dad’s parenting weeks. She asks that the nanny take the lead with the children during her work hours, focusing on play and connection rather than being inside while she’s on calls. Dad works in commercial real estate and is often home to help with practices and transitions. As the kids grow, the parents are encouraging more independence and responsibility—like picking up their own things—with consistent follow-through. They describe parenting as the best part of life, filled with joy and laughter, and feel incredibly fortunate to be raising such kind, awesome children.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc., Washing family dishes, unloading/loading the dishwasher. Transportation. Household support while the children are in school: family meal prep, grocery, days off school. Potential pet care, like taking the dog on walks. Potential to travel with family if available. The kids have chores and are expected to contribute as they are a part of the household and the nanny will help to lead them in that.

Pets:
At Dad’s house, the family has one dog (Poodle). Care is just letting her out, potentially taking her on a walk. At Mom’s house, the family has a Cat. Kids are expected to help provide care.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional, long-term nanny/household manager who is dependable, proactive, nurturing, and committed to supporting a family over time. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional childcare experience, with nanny experience and experience working with school-age children strongly preferred. The family values someone who is patient, kind, positive, and consistent—someone who brings fun and energy to each day and enjoys teaching and engaging with children in meaningful ways. They are looking for a long-term fit and, while a one-year commitment is required, they envision this role potentially growing into a long-term position for the next 10 years.
