Children:
The family has two daughters who are 3 years old and 3 months old. G3 is a lively, independent, and curious child who loves to explore the world around her, often asking “why” as she learns. She is kind and incredibly gentle with her baby sister. She is eager to learn, so the family looks forward to the exciting activities the nanny could introduce around town. While she experiences some separation anxiety, she transitions better with good communication. G3 enjoys playing outside, solving puzzles, building with Magnatiles and Legos, drawing, painting, singing, reading, and helping in the kitchen. Her screen time will be limited to less than 1 hour daily during weekdays. She will attend preschool two-three full days per week (8:00 – 5:00) at school near her parents’ workplace and be home two-three days with the nanny. G3 will take one nap a day or have a period of quiet time in the afternoon. G3mos is a laid-back, calm, and sweet baby. She enjoys music and loves to babble. She’s on the verge of rolling over and communicates clearly through her cues. During the day, she stays awake for 1 to 1.5 hours before napping for about 1-2 hours and has longer awake periods of 2 to 3 hours in the evenings. She is sleeping through the night on most nights and occasionally wakes up once overnight. G3mos is fed a mix of pumped breastmilk and formula, around 3-4 ounces per feeding, using a bottle during the day and nursing once a day. While her cues are consistent and closely observed, there’s no focus on strict sleep training. The Snoo is used to assist her sleep.

Family values:
This family values creating an environment where everyone feels confident and comfortable with themselves. They emphasize exposing their children to diverse cultures and backgrounds, reflecting their own blended family. Respect for all people is a core value. The family enjoys spending time together on walks, bike rides, visits to the park, the zoo, and trips to the library. They also enjoy hanging out at home, watching movies especially Disney since G3 has been to Disney World. As parents, they prioritize understanding and communication, especially with their toddler. They explain why they’re asking or telling something, helping her navigate frustrations typical of toddler life. After a meltdown, they provide reassurance, emphasizing that love is unconditional, even when certain behaviors need to be stopped for safety. Patience and calm are key, especially as she navigates new behaviors. The parents value health and in particular about hand hygiene, ensuring hands are washed after coming inside and before and after meals. Both parents are physicians with variable schedules, typically working from 8:30 to 5:30. The parents would say the best part of parenting for them is spending time with their children and watching their individual personalities bloom. Their daughters bring them so much joy, instantly boosting their mood with their humor and affection. They cherish this age, knowing they are the center of their children’s world and just want to soak up every moment.
