Children:
The family is expecting their first child, a son due late August. As first-time parents, they want to be as involved but desire the nanny to take the lead and be proactive in providing care. They plan to breastfeed and pump, with supplies stored in the freezer. They anticipate doing infant activities like safe tummy time and visual cloth books. They understand the importance of milestones and development. They plan to take the baby out for walks regularly and will implement a sleep training schedule once age appropriate.

Family values:
This family values kindness and respect for others, including family, friends, neighbors, and those with different views or backgrounds. They emphasize honesty, ambition, and hard work. From an early age, they believe in instilling chores and responsibilities to set a schedule for and are committed to education, and can’t wait to start reading books to their son. They enjoy spending time together, including outdoors activities, with daily walks with the dogs, the pool and the gym together. They enjoy a weekly date night and watching sports with friends. They like to travel to see family and plan to take trips with their son at a young age to help acclimate to different environments. They will encourage outings to the zoo and park, along with playdates with other nannies; they also have a membership to the Cincinnati Sports Club the nanny may use. The home is a great area for a nanny to take walks with the baby and grab coffee. Mom works from home, occasionally going to the office or meeting clients. Dad may work from home on occasion. Both parents have separate home offices. They are really looking forward to being parents: meeting their little one, growing their family, and watching him develop into his own person. They are excited to encourage him and give him every opportunity to succeed. As he grows, they will enjoy doing things together—watching games, coaching his sports, mowing the lawn, and taking care of things around the house and family walks with their dogs.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after the child.  Child’s bottle and eventually meal prep. Child’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc., Transportation to activities. Nanny will be asked to keep a simple written baby log to support communication with parents. Travel with the family is requested and the nanny is available.

Pets:
The family has 2 dogs (Samoyeds);  both so sweet and kind. No pet care is required but the nanny should enjoy being around dogs.

Covid Approach: (5) Very Open
Socializes without social distancing, masks, or recommended etiquette. Not taking any extra precautions to protect oneself from infection outside what is normal. Not personally concerned with being infected.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a part-time professional long-term nanny who is safety-conscious, dependable and nurturing. An ideal candidate should have infant experience and experience working as a nanny. The family requires a 1 year commitment, but they anticipate having a nanny long-term (5-7 years) as they plan to continue to grow their family.
