It’s time to meet the Nanny Panel, 2016-2017. They are voted into the role by INA Nanny of the Year Award Recipients from all over the country to serve as leaders in our local CincyNanny community. This group volunteers behind the scenes to help plan big events and speak for the community! (Pictures are shared with permission of the family.)
Meet Amanda
1. Tell us about your current position/role?
I currently work for a blended family with 4 children as a household manager in Northern Kentucky. The oldest M is a 10 year old boy who loves all things STEM and is a competitive swimmer. C is an 8 year old girl who has an incredible passion for art. K & Q are twins girls who will be 2 this month! K loves tumbling, climbing, helping, and playing outside. Q is a free spirit with an attention to detail who enjoys books and has a passion for fashion. Both of the twins love music and their baby dolls.
2. Why is this career a good fit for you?
I’ve always had a passion for working with children. I love getting to work with kids to build a foundation for learning and an excitement for life’s little joys.
3. What is your favorite age to work with and why?
Toddlers are my absolute favorite age to work with! They are making new discoveries and connections everyday and I love seeing their “ah ha” moments.
4. What is your latest nanny win?
I was recently able to photograph all four of my kids and surprise mom boss and dad boss with framed head shots. The kids were so pleased with their photos and the parents were really touched. It was a really special surprise.
5. What is your all-time favorite movie? Musical artist?
My all time favorite movie is The Curious Case Benjamin Button. My favorite musical artist is Colbie Caillat.
6. If someone gave you an hour and $100, how would you spend it?
If someone gave me an hour and $100 I would find a local event, activity, or new restaurant and take a few close friends out.
7. What has been your favorite CincyNanny event?
My favorite CincyNanny event is National Nanny Recognition Week. I love getting to celebrate our profession, peers, and successes as a nanny community.
