For Families
Summer nannies are a wonderful solution for school breaks, flexible schedules, and active summer days. CincyNanny carefully screens candidates and introduces families to responsible, energetic caregivers who are ready to plan adventures, keep kids engaged, and support your household.
Summer needs are different than long-term nanny placements, so our process is designed to be simpler and more efficient. We focus on matching families with responsible, energetic caregivers who enjoy spending time with kids, without requiring the same level of professional childcare experience as our year-round placements. This allows families to secure great help quickly while giving students, teachers, and aspiring nannies the chance to gain meaningful childcare experience for the summer.
EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have childcare experience as a sitter and be able to provide 2 references.
SCREENING
Prior to hire, nannies will be asked to complete a Background Check, which includes Driving Record.
TRAINING
A current CPR + First Aid Certification is required prior to starting with a family.
DRIVER
Candidates must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
NON-SMOKER
Families require nannies to be tobacco and drug free. Drug test is optional for families.
UNIQUE RESPONSIBILITES

When I was working as a nanny for triplet boys, I missed co-workers. I started CincyNanny in 2009 to gather professional nannies for community – to simply share play dates, friendship, and resources.
Over the years, I found that nannies and families were seeking more direction and information to start set a solid foundation for the working relationship. And, I had that information to share.
I love to educate, coach and empower nannies through the process. We require families to do it right, with things like a written work agreement and legal pay. Success looks to me looks like long-term happiness for all!
