Family will offer 4 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 6 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) as they fall on a work day. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. Mileage reimbursementThe family will guarantee pay at 16 – 20 hours/week, when the schedule is decided.

Duties include:
This role is primarily focused on household support, with occasional assistance with the children as needed based on the schedule. Responsibilities include coming in and doing a daily “sweep” of the home—this Household Assistant will tidy, reset spaces, wipe counters and surfaces, complete light vacuuming, and keep common areas organized. Laundry is a primary focus, including managing the family’s laundry from start to finish. The role also includes kitchen support such as loading and unloading the dishwasher, washing dishes, and light meal prep. The Household Assistant will help organize children’s spaces and household systems (drawers, bins, pantry, etc.) and provide overall household management support by anticipating needs and staying proactive. Occasional errands may include grocery pickup and putting items away. There may be some transportation to and from school or activities as needed. If provided, afternoon support would include helping with snacks and supervising outdoor play. While the role is not primarily childcare, there will be times when basic care, engagement, and clean-up after the children are needed. The ideal candidate will help the household run smoothly by supporting calendar planning ahead of time, staying organized, and creating simple, sustainable systems throughout the home.

Children:
The family has two children, a son (almost 7) and a daughter (3). B7 is an easygoing, fun-loving, and kind child who enjoys being active and social. He loves all sports and is almost always playing or bouncing a ball. He walks to school, which is just down the block, leaving at 8:45 a.m. and returning home around 3:30 p.m. He is fairly independent and enjoys a bit of downtime after school with a snack and TV. His afternoons are filled with activities including soccer, tennis, ballet, and one day a week with grandparents. During the summer, he stays active with camps, including basketball at the Cincinnati Sports Club and soccer camps, along with a couple of family vacations (typically at the end of July). G3 is a playful and expressive child who is really coming into her personality. She loves to joke, make people laugh, dance, and isn’t afraid to make a mess while having fun. She attends daycare Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with Thursdays spent with her grandparents.

Family values:
This family is anchored in kindness and strives to model that value daily for their children. They emphasize raising helpful, present, and grounded children who are not entitled and who learn not to take things for granted. They believe in teaching independence and self-sufficiency— guiding their children to learn how to care for themselves rather than doing everything for them. The family also values staying on top of the “daily pile-up” of life, including laundry, drawers, fridge organization, bins, and ongoing purging and tidying to keep the home running smoothly. They enjoy an active, on-the-go lifestyle and prefer spending time out of the house—visiting parks, playgrounds, and restaurants, and staying engaged in community activities. They are food lovers, with the children also enjoying baking and cooking. Weekends are typically spent out and about rather than at home. Family dinners are important, and they prioritize shared time together. Mom works for a company based in California and typically works evening hours (around 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.), often handling cooking for the family. Dad works a more traditional 9–5 schedule and prefers a clean, organized home. Both parents are hardworking and value structure and order in the home environment. Their favorite time of day is breakfast together—an uninterrupted, meaningful moment of connection. The most challenging time of day is typically 3:00–6:00 p.m., when work, school pick-up, activities, and transitions overlap.

Pets:
The family has one dog, Maui, a 2-year-old Australian Labradoodle who is well-trained. No pet care is required.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional part-time Household Assistant who is dependable, organized, and proactive and can seamlessly blend into their household as a trusted, steady presence in their day-to-day life. They are looking for someone who enjoys creating order, staying ahead of needs, and bringing calm structure to a busy home. This person should be comfortable taking initiative without needing constant direction and should genuinely enjoy supporting both the children and the flow of the household. Above all, they are seeking someone who is committed, consistent, and invested in becoming a long-term, reliable part of the family’s rhythm and routine. The family requires a 1-year commitment but could see the role continuing for 5–10 years.
