Children:
The family has two daughters who are 3.5 years old and 15 months old. G3 is active, affectionate, and communicates her needs well. She enjoys cuddling, rubbing her ear for comfort, and generally gets along well with her younger sister. Her interests include Spiderman, monster trucks, bounce houses, crafts (especially gluing), and outdoor play—particularly swinging. G1 is a cuddly, happy toddler who is very active and recently started walking—often doing laps around the house. She enjoys being held and loves pretend play, especially baby dolls, strollers, the play kitchen, and anything her older sister is doing. She also enjoys the bounce house. Mornings begin with breakfast, followed by an outing or activity; the girls do best when they get out of the house in the morning. G1 may take a short morning nap in the car around 11:00 a.m., though she is close to dropping it. Lunch is typically between 12:00–1:00 p.m., followed by afternoon play at home. G1 will take an afternoon nap (approximately 2:00–4:00 p.m.). G3 may nap as well, or rest and content playing independently or watching some TV.

Family values:
This family values raising happy, functional children who have the skills to cope, manage emotions, and build resilience. They enjoy spending time together and prioritize being outdoors whenever possible, including visits to parks, hiking trails, the zoo, and the aquarium. The parents practice positive parenting, focusing on praising and rewarding good behavior, calmly correcting inappropriate behavior, and clearly identifying and stopping unsafe situations. They believe in natural consequences and use time-outs only when necessary, particularly for hurting or hitting. Mom works from home and is the primary organizer of schedules, childcare details, and communication. Dad works outside the home. One of the parents’ favorite parts of parenting is sharing cuddles and affection with their children.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children.Children’s meal prep. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. The family expects getting out for activities, walks, and play.

Pets:
The family has one dog (rat terrier mix) and one cat. No pet care is required as part of this role.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional long-term nanny who is dependable, punctual, nurturing, and positive. They value someone who is adaptable and practical, able to manage the role, engage the children in meaningful ways, and communicate clearly with the family. The family requires a 1 year commitment, but could see the role being needed for the next 5 years.
