Children:
The family has two sons, ages 4 and 2 years old. B4 is an energetic, charming, curious, people-oriented child who loves to explore. He enjoys anything with wheels, lining up cars, bouncing on the indoor trampoline, going to the park, and swimming in the summer. He happily attends preschool Monday–Thursday, taking the bus at 7:50 a.m. and returning home at 12:00 p.m.  B4 has a high-functioning autism diagnosis: he receives speech and therapy services during his school day as well as private therapy two afternoons each week. B4 is learning at his pace with his preschool program and private therapy but struggles at times to communicate his needs which can lead to emotional reactions. B4 may hit in these instances but can redirect with time to regulate independently in his room. B4 needs an empathetic and compassionate caregiver.
On Fridays, he is home full-day with the nanny and his younger brother. B4 does not nap, so afternoons typically include lunch, Sesame Street, independent play to recharge, and engaging activities or sensory play with the nanny while B2 naps. B2 is a sweet lovebug who enjoys playing, cuddling, and exploring. Curious, adventurous, and fun-loving, he loves books, puzzles, and outdoor adventures, including weekly Bookery outings. Laid-back and friendly, he gets along well with his older brother and enjoys social play. The family is excited for the nanny to provide morning activities and outings that encourage his continued learning, exploration, and social interaction. He typically naps from 1–3 p.m. each day and will begin part-time preschool in the fall (full-time nanny care is still needed at that time).

Family values:
This family values respect, kindness, and individuality – “acting like a citizen” while being true to yourself. They encourage children to grow into themselves, fostering fun, love, and acceptance. The family enjoys staying active and making the most of weekends, with frequent trips to the zoo, neighborhood pool, parks, the museums, etc. They love spending time together outdoors and with animals, especially in the summer.Mom has a full schedule that can be chaotic and long, with occasional travel, but she is easily reachable. Dad is flexible, engaged, and hands-on, with a more predictable end-of-day schedule. Grandparents are also involved, which is why care ends at 3:00 p.m. on two days a week. The parents approach parenting with trial and error, learning what works best for each child, prioritizing safety, personal space, and consistency. They want the nanny to be an aligned supportive partner, helping guide the children with calm correction, individual attention, and clear boundaries. Above all, they cherish seeing their children feel loved, joyful, and secure, and enjoy being included in their daily lives.

Duties include
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry., Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. Transportation to/from fun activities. The family encourages getting out for activities, walks, and play. Running errands. Occasionally start dinner in the crock pot using pre-prepped ingredients.

Pets:
The family has a dog (lab mix) and a cat. Pet care responsibilities are minimal, limited to letting the dog out.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional, long-term nanny who is experienced, active, engaging, and fun. They are looking for someone nurturing, patient, and compassionate, yet proactive and dependable. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional childcare experience, preferably with toddlers and preschool-aged children, and is able to plan and lead age-appropriate activities while providing educational enrichment such as story time, developmental play, and other learning experiences. A strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate guidance is essential. The family requires a 1-year commitment but envisions the role potentially continuing for the next 2–3 years.
