The family will provide a car for the nanny to drive the children during the work day. The family will guarantee pay at 24 hours hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early.
Children:
The family has two daughters, ages 7 and 5. G7 is quiet, sweet, and sensitive—a big feeler who loves crafts, stamping, playing with her sister, dolls, Legos, and anything princess-themed. She attends 1st grade from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the school year and will be home during the summer. Her activities include seasonal plays, dance classes, and swim practices. G5 is outgoing, easygoing, and fun to be around. She enjoys pretend play, crafts, biking, scootering, and special one-on-one time. She attends preschool on the following schedule: Monday 9:00–11:30 a.m., Tuesday–Thursday 12:30–3:00 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Both girls enjoy independent play and are good at entertaining each other
Family values:
The parents are thoughtful and intentional, prioritizing quality time and meaningful connection with their children. They hope their girls will grow up learning to make decisions that are right for them and not worrying about what others think. Favorite activities include playing outside, bike riding, scootering, and doing crafts together. They love visiting parks around the city, exploring the Contemporary Arts Center, and going to shows and plays when they can. They enjoy winding down each evening with a family story or show before bedtime around 8:00 p.m. Both parents share a commitment to setting healthy limits and allowing all feelings to be expressed. They follow the principles of Good Inside by Dr. Becky Kennedy, embracing natural consequences and supporting their children’s emotional growth. Mom works outside the home and typically returns between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. She can be flexible with advance notice, though she may be less accessible during work hours. Dad works from a home office but the sound of the girls and nanny is not an issue; he occasionally steps out for coffee or lunch. For these parents, the best part of raising their daughters is sharing heart-melting conversations about feelings and savoring everyday moments together as a family walking through life side by side.
Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. In addition, the nanny will provide family assistant support as time allows while the children are in school, including running errands, grocery shopping, and home organization (pantry, toys, closets, etc.
Pets:
The family has a 13-year-old mini Goldendoodle, about 40 lbs. She gets excited to see new people but spends most of the day sleeping. The dog goes in and out as needed and enjoys the company of other dogs. The backyard is fenced for safety.
Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional nanny/family assistant, preferably with experience caring for preschool and school-age children and working as a nanny. They are looking for someone patient, kind, and safe. The ideal candidate is dependable and responsible, makes good decisions, and serves as a reliable role model. They should also be creative and playful, bringing an engaging energy to daily activities. The family requires commitment through late August 2026.
