Benefits:
The family will offer 4 PTO days  to be used for vacation, sick, and personal days. The nanny will have 6 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day) should the holiday fall on a day scheduled to work. The family will provide a car to drive, but this need will be limited. The family will guarantee pay at 16 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off when the family vacations or ends a day early.

Children:
The family has two children – a 1.5 year old son (2 in October) and a 7-week old baby girl. B1 who is almost 20 months old is sweet, curious, and silly. He loves to read and learn. He is also very active and enjoys going to the park and playing in the yard. B1 generally eats well with 3 meals and one snack per day – he is on a one nap schedule. Baby girl is bright eyed and sweet – she loves to cuddle and take in the world around her. Family is currently following wake-window guidelines for naps with some contact naps and some in bassinet. Baby girl is EBF – family is working on baby girl taking a breast-milk bottle.

Family Values:
The family prioritizes instilling kindness and empathy in their children. They aim to guide them to be hard-working, humble, and confident in who they are. The family enjoys spending time together, whether playing in the playroom, taking walks, or laughing at the dinner table. When it comes to guidance, parents practice respecting their children’s feelings with a balance of understanding boundaries, learning effective coping mechanisms and learning what is acceptable behavior. Above all, parents attempt to create an environment where all family members feel supported and loved. Mom will mostly be at home, with some potential part-time work outside of the home. Dad has a flexible but changing schedule; he will be in and out of the home. The parents are smitten every day watching their children grow and reach every milestone. They cherish their smiles, belly laughs, silliness, and watching their unique personalities unfold.

Duties Include:
– Basic care and clean up after the child. Child’s meal prep. Child’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly (wiping counters/table, child’s bottles and dishes, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc.)
Minimal household support while mom is with children or the kids are napping, such as unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry, running the occasional errand, or printing labels for packages.

Pets:
The family has one dog, a friendly and affectionate Golden Retriever. The nanny can let him out in the fenced front yard.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional long-term nanny who is safe, trustworthy, and kind. Infant/toddler experience is preferred but not required. Safety consciousness looks like being attentive and aware, taking into consideration car seat safety, choking hazards, the environment, age-appropriate toys, etc. An ideal nanny would be warm and kind, communicative, enjoy playing and engaging with their son, and seek to be part of the family. The family requires a 1-year commitment, but could see the role being needed for the next 5+ years as they look to continue to grow their family.
