Full-time Professional Temporary Nanny for Wyoming Family
Greater Cincinnati Area (45215)

Requirements:
– Professional childcare experience (nanny, daycare, teaching), 2 year minimum
– Educational background (associates degree or higher in child development or education) , preferred but not required
– Experience with toddlers and preschool ages, preferred
– Energetic, nurturing & positive
– Ability to multitask, dependable and flexible
– Ability to maintain a safe environment through awareness and attentiveness
– Able to provide enriching learning activities, reading development and creative learning
– Great communication skills
– Spanish speaking skills would be a plus
– Up-to-date immunizations +  annual flu shot, required
– Clear background check, driving record and drug test
– CPR/First Aid certified prior to start date
– Has a reliable vehicle
– Non-smoker

Start + End date:
Beginning or mid-January through June (6 months in length). This role is supporting the current nanny’s maternity leave but it could become a full-time position. 

Schedule:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 6:15 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays 6:15 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 42 hours/week. Some Friday hours may be available. 

Pay Range:
$22.00-25.00/hour dependent on experience, education, and expertise.  Overtime rate of time and a half goes into effect after 40 hours/week. At 42 hours, the expected gross amount is $946.00-1,075/week Taxes will be withheld.

Benefits:
Family will offer 2 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 1 paid holiday (Memorial Day) during this period. In addition, when the family travels, the nanny will have up to an additional 1 week off and paid. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early. 

Children:  
The family has two children, a daughter who is 4 years old (G4)  and a son who is 18 months old (B18mos). G4 is assertive, independent and likes to explore, but also still likes to be held and hugged. She enjoys Kid Strong, swimming, gymnastics, arts and crafts, talking, playing at the park, the library, Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Aquarium, make up and nails, taking wagon rides and walks, riding her bike, and make believe play. She also enjoys watching children’s programming on Disney and Netflix. She usually wakes up each day around 8:00 a.m. She attends preschool from 9:00 am to 11:30 am (Tues – Fri). She usually does not take a nap.  She is a very selective eater.  B18mos is a very active little one.  He likes to follow his sister and try to do everything she does.  He is starting to increase his vocabulary.  He can say up, more, mom mom, waw waw,  da da, etc. He understands and can carry out most simple directions and requests. He will eat almost any kind of food and he eats a lot.  He will take a nap during the day around 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm in the afternoon.  He likes throwing balls and other objects, running, dancing, and being talked to.

Family values:
This family seeks to lead their children to be independent and responsible. They hope to prepare them to start and excel in school. They enjoy spending time together at the park, going on drives together and out to eat. The parents set boundaries when it comes to safety otherwise follow their children’s lead. The parents say the best thing about parenting so far is seeing them develop their own personalities as they grow and develop.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Children’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/tables, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. Transportation. Provide enrichment learning activities and reading to support milestones.

Pets:
The family does not have any pets.  

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a temporary (6 months) nanny who is energetic, dependable, creative and provides a safe learning environment.  Ideally the candidate would have experience with toddlers and preschool age children and understands developmental milestones.
