Full-time Professional Nanny for Mt. Lookout Family

Requirements:
– Professional childcare experience, 2 years minimum
– Previous Nanny experience, required

– Up-to-date immunizations, Annual flu shot, required
– Covid vaccine, preferred but not required
– Clear background check, driving record and drug test
– CPR/First Aid certified prior to start date
– Non-smoker

Start date:
Mid to late January 

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, either 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 40 hours/week. 

Pay Range:
$25.00 – 28.00/hour  dependent on experience, education, and expertise.  Overtime rate of time and a half goes into effect after 40 hours/week. The expected gross amount is $1,000 – 1,120/week, or $52,000 – 58,240 annually. Taxes will be withheld.

Benefits:
Family will offer 13 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 6 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) as they fall on a nanny’s work day..The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate.The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours  hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early. Healthcare stipend is negotiable.

Children:
The family is expecting a son due in mid-December (he will be 4-6 weeks old when the nanny starts). They plan to breastfeed but are open to bottle feeding and pumping. They are looking for the baby to be on a routine, with sleep training introduced when it becomes age-appropriate, and hope the nanny can provide guidance and support in establishing these routines. Additionally, they will adapt to the baby’s needs as they arise. To facilitate communication and planning, they plan to use an app to stay connected with the nanny.

Family values:
This family prioritizes a healthy lifestyle that includes eating well, getting enough sleep, and staying active. The parents enjoy working out together, going to the gym and taking walks. Positive thinking and practices like visualization and manifestation are important to them. Raised with Catholic values, they are spiritual but not religious and value morality in their daily lives. Dad loves to cook and they enjoy dining out and spending time together through activities like hiking and other physical pursuits. They anticipate their son in sports and finding out what interests them. The parents are in the process of building a house and plan to be moving in December. Both parents work from home, and in the new house will each have separate offices away from the main living space. The parents maintain a flexible schedule, with some days allowing for interruptions and others being more structured. Dad has been sober for four years, and they have chosen to keep alcohol out of the house. When they anticipate being parents they are excited about the love and little moments, finding joy in the everyday routines and looking forward to sharing the magic of holidays through h’s eyes. Overall, they see having a child  as an extension of their love and look forward to creating a nurturing and supportive environment.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children., Children’s meal prep., Children’s laundry., Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. Minimal Family Assistant type duties as nap times allow: amazon packages, returns, steaming, misc tasks, etc.   

Pets:
The family does not have any pets.

Covid Approach: (5) Very Open
Socializes without social distancing, masks, or recommended etiquette. Not taking any extra precautions to protect oneself from infection outside what is normal. Not personally concerned with being infected.*Both parents are fully-vaccinated

Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional experienced infant nanny trustworthy, nurturing and positive!  Essential qualifications include prior infant experience, a strong sense of trustworthiness, punctuality, and a focus on safety. The ideal candidate should be respectful, modeling kindness and good manners towards others, and possess maturity with significant experience to guide the parents and share valuable ideas. A positive and caring demeanor would align with the family’s approach. The family requires a commitment of at least one year, with the potential for the position to extend for several more years.
