In addition, when the family travels, the nanny will have an additional 3-5 weeks per year off and paid. The family will reimburse miles driven during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 24 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early.

Children:
The family is due with their first baby, a girl, mid October. They are a flexible and easy-going family, but know they will thrive on some structure, particularly with naps, sleep schedules, and bedtime routines. They plan for Mom to breastfeed and pump.

Family values:
This family values kindness, open-mindedness, and self-awareness. They believe in not judging others and respecting how people live their lives. They are service-minded and involved in community roles. They focus on maintaining good values in their home, cherish happiness and laughter, and strive to create a safe and peaceful environment. They prioritize maintaining a clean and well-kept home. The parents enjoy spending time outdoors, whether playing golf, and taking walks together. They anticipate being active park-goers and exploring various city parks with their child. When she is older, they plan to enroll her in swimming lessons, spend time at the swim club and go to the zoo to keep her engaged and active. They encourage the nanny to involve her in classes and social activities. Mom works remotely for part of the week, Tuesday to Thursday, with hours starting around 7:45 a.m. and either returning home around 1:30 p.m. for additional computer work or will remain out to run errands. The father works in healthcare, and he may occasionally be home sleeping in the mornings until noon. He is a heavy sleeper, so the nanny will not need to tiptoe around with the baby. The parents look forward to growing their family and adding more joy to their household. They are excited about making new memories and raising their child.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after the child.  Child’s meal prep. Child’s laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. Transportation to activities. Nanny will be asked to keep a simple written baby log to support communication with parents. Provide a warm, loving, affectionate environment. Provide a well-rounded, fun day for the child, including: age-appropriate creative activities and educational activities, social interactions with other children, adequate time outside with the child, reading with the child on a regular basis, encouraging appropriate amounts of independent play while supervising and also provide the child focused one on one attention, engaging and participating with them.

Pets:
The family does not have any pets.

Covid Approach: (5) Very Open
Socializes without social distancing, masks, or recommended etiquette. Not taking any extra precautions to protect oneself from infection outside what is normal. Not personally concerned with being infected. *Both parents are vaccinated

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional long-term nanny who is compassionate, safe and dependable. The nanny should have infant experience and the ability to keep the baby on a schedule once age-appropriate. An ideal candidate will provide a fun, positive, peaceful, and nurturing environment for the child, and maintain open communication with the family. The family requires a one-year commitment but envisions the role being needed for the next 2-3 years.
