Benefits:
Family will offer 13 PTO days to be used for vacation, sick and personal days. Nanny will have 9 paid holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day). When the family travels, the nanny will have an additional 1-2 weeks per year off and paid. The family will reimburse miles driven for errands during the workday at the federal mileage rate. The family will guarantee pay at 40 hours/week, even in the case where the nanny is given unrequested time off, when the family vacations or ends a day early. Healthcare stipend is negotiable.

Children:
The family has two children, a daughter who is 3.5 years old and a son who is 1 year old and infant due in February.  G3 is fun, even tempered and brings a great energy. She loves her trampoline and balance beam at home and just started a weekly ballet class. G3 loves doing lots of arts and crafts (painting, coloring, stickers), cooking, building blocks, playing outside, etc. and connects with her caregivers best through play. She will start preschool next fall. Because of the nurturing one-on-one attention at home with family and nanny, her social and verbal skills are advanced. G3 naps 1-2 hours daily sometime between 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.  B1 is engaging and social and such a happy boy! He takes formula bottles and is eating table food (6 times day) and naps twice a day. He is walking and does well getting out of the house for a change in scenery, taking walks or an activity.

Family values:
First and foremost, the parents lead and disciple their children out of their strong Christian values, they seek to serve others and Christ in all they do. As their children grow they hope to instill critical thinking, being aware of those around them, discernment through challenging situations and the skill to respond with emotional intelligence. Entrepreneurship is an extremely important piece of their life. This is a gift they want to pass on to their kids; as it offers a lot of freedom in both time management and finances. The parents value this nurturing phase with their kids at home. Mom has thought about homeschooling until Kindergarten and then will likely join the CHCA community. The family places a high priority on health and being active. This looks like getting outside every day for fresh air and physical fitness and eating well and organic. They enjoy time at home together, playing, engaging, making meals, etc. over lots of activities outside of the house. Nanny is encouraged to take walks, go to the neighborhood play area and pool and do activities outside the house. Mom owns a business and works part-time from the home, some days she may take time to care for one or both kids and the nanny would lean into the family assistant duties (see below). Otherwise the nanny would be the lead, default in charge and leading the children. Dad works longer hours outside of the home. They would say the best thing about parenting is how fun and funny the kids are. They just bring joy and laughter to every day. Mom adds it’s amazing to see how tender and sweet they are and it’s just reassuring to know that you are a comfort to them.

Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children’s meal prep. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. In addition to nanny care duties, there will be family assistant duties, including, family meal prep, unpacking groceries, running errands, family laundry (Mom will take care of undergarments and put away adult clothes), organizing closets, pantry, etc. This would not include deep cleaning, the family employs a housekeeper. Providing activities in and out of the home.

Pets:
The family has a cat. No pet care is needed.

Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional nanny/family assistant who is dependable, proactive, engaging and likes to teach. This role requires 5+ years of professional childcare experience and ideally is a ‘career nanny’ who seeks to stay very long-term. The family seeks a nanny who can lead the children in alignment with their values (education, faith, health, respect) and provides learning opportunities through play. The candidate should be a leader, able to work autonomously and is proactive to meet the needs of the children and the household. The family requires a 1 year commitment, but would love to see the role last 7-8 years.
